Vikrant Rana, Managing Partner at S.S. Rana & Co. was invited by Career Development Cell, UILS, Punjab University, Chandigarh on February 5, 2020 as a special guest to deliver a lecture on “Understanding Intellectual Property Rights and IPR as a career option”.
In his highly enriching session, Vikrant started with explaining the basics of intellectual property rights and highlighted the essential aspects of IP protection, need of registering IPR and remedies in case of IP infringement. Through various examples and instances he practically explained the importance and value of IP assets.
To make the session more relatable to students, Vikrant also shared his experience as legal attorney with the students. Career decisions play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth and development of students and with this thought in mind, he shared all his experiences and so that the students get a practical glimpse into the multifaceted legal profession.
