Geographical Indication Statistics an overview in India

The Geographical Indications Registry received 613 GI applications for registration of GI up to March 31, 2017 out of which 320 Gls have been registered.
18 GI applications were examined and 25 Gls have been registered during the reporting year.
The Registry expedited registration of authorised users and a total of 2699 authorised users were registered.
